Terms of Service
Last updated: June 5, 2026
1. Platform Purpose
Ascend Clinical (“Ascend,” “we,” “our”) is a technology platform that connects pre-licensed behavioral-health professionals (“supervisees”) with qualified clinical supervisors and helps both parties track supervision hours, schedule consultations, and exchange messages. Ascend is not a clinical practice and does not itself deliver clinical supervision or behavioral-health services.
2. User Responsibilities
You agree to (a) provide accurate registration information, (b) maintain the confidentiality of your account credentials, (c) use the platform only for lawful purposes consistent with applicable professional and ethical standards, and (d) refrain from uploading content that violates client confidentiality, HIPAA, or any other applicable law.
3. Clinical Supervision Disclaimer
The clinical supervision relationship exists solely between supervisor and supervisee. Ascend is not a party to that relationship, does not direct clinical decisions, and is not responsible for the quality, content, or outcome of any supervision provided through the platform. See our Professional Disclaimer for details.
4. Subscriptions and Billing
Paid features are offered on a subscription basis. Fees, billing intervals, and refund terms are presented at checkout. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You may cancel at any time from your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
5. Intellectual Property
All software, content, branding, and design elements of the Ascend platform are owned by Ascend Clinical LLC, or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. You retain ownership of content you submit, and you grant Ascend a limited license to host, display, and transmit that content as needed to operate the service.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ascend, its officers, employees, and partners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or licensure outcomes arising from your use of the platform. Our aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid Ascend in the twelve months preceding the claim.
7. Account Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, misuse the platform, or create risk to other users. You may close your account at any time. Upon termination, we will retain records as required by law and our data-retention policy.
8. Modifications to Terms
We may update these terms periodically. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
