Ascend Scribe™

AI-assistedsupervision documentation

Ascend Scribe drafts supervision notes from a recorded session so supervisors spend their time reviewing and refining rather than starting from a blank page.

How Scribe works

From recorded session to reviewable draft

Documentation is often the last thing left at the end of a long supervision day. Scribe shortens that step by preparing a first draft in the same structured template supervisors already use in Ascend — then hands control straight back to the supervisor.

Record the session

Record an individual or group supervision session in Ascend, or upload audio you captured elsewhere.

Get a transcript

Ascend transcribes the recording so the conversation is searchable while you write.

Draft the note

Scribe fills the fields of your existing supervision note template with a draft based on the transcript.

Review and finalize

You edit every field, then sign and finalize the note yourself. Scribe never finalizes or signs anything.

Where it fits

Documentation that stays part of the record

Scribe works inside the supervision note workspace, so a drafted note keeps the same version history, comments, action items, and signature flow as a note written by hand. Drafts are marked as AI-assisted until a supervisor reviews and finalizes them.

It supports the supervision note types Ascend already offers — individual supervision, consultation, competency review, goal progress, quarterly evaluation, and licensure review — plus group supervision sessions.

Because the note lives in the supervision record, it connects to the same hours, goals, and competencies you track in social work supervision.

What Scribe does not do

  • It does not sign, finalize, or approve documentation, and it does not award supervision hours.
  • It does not diagnose, make clinical decisions, or substitute for the supervisor's professional judgment.
  • It does not guarantee accuracy or compliance — every draft must be reviewed and corrected before it is finalized.

Recordings and transcripts are stored in Ascend's secure environment and are visible only to the people authorized to see that supervision record.

Spend less of the evening writing notes.

Ascend Scribe prepares the draft; you stay the author, reviewer, and signer.
